Medical Biller and Coder
Location: Melbourne
Rate: $15 per hour DOE
Length: T-H 90 days
Shift: 10:30AM – 7:00PM, Mon-Fri
Our client is looking to add a Medical Biller and Coder to their already diverse back-office staff. Ideal candidate will have the desire to offer top quality customer service. The selected individual will be responsible for speaking with patients, posting payments, interacting with insurance companies, and submitting claims properly. Ideally this candidate will be detail oriented and autonomous in nature.
Expectations:
- Maintaining and posting accurate records
- Tracking of aging on accounts
- Verification of insurance coverages
- Accurate coding and billing for services rendered
- Tracking on unpaid claims and resubmit as needed
- Collections
- Customer service with patients on insurance forms/applications
- Other duties as assigned
Requirement:
- Maintains confidentiality
- High school diploma
- 2+ year experience Medical Billing (certification a plus, not required)
- 2 year experience with ICD 10 and CPT coding systems
- Accurate data entry, KPH 8,000+ or typing speed of 45+ WPM
- Strong customer service
- Proficient in all aspects of computers to include Microsoft office suite
