Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Location: Titusville, FL
Rate: $15-$16 / hour
Shift: 7:00AM – 4:30PM
Length: 1 month assignment / possible perm for right individual
Our client is looking to add an experienced Shipping and Receiving Clerk to their expanding staff for a 1 month assignment starting ASAP. Could possibly turn into a permanent position for the right individual. Our client is locally owned and operated and has been in Brevard County almost 75 years. Ideal candidate will have the desire to offer top quality customer service, while still able to multitask and coordinate with those around them.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare customer orders for shipment
- Familiar using UPS/FEDEX systems
- Receive materials against purchase orders
- Put away incoming materials to their proper locations
- Operate foam machine when required
Knowledge & Skills:
- Able to operate a stock picker and pallet jack
- Able to operate a forklift and pass forklift in-house safety certification
- Basic clerical and computer skills required
- Very detail-oriented, accurate and organized
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
- Work typically takes place in a shipping environment requiring:
- Standing – must be able to work on feet for long periods of time
- Lifting – must know how and be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Handling – air powered stapler, pallet jack
- Reaching – supplies for shipping
- Carrying j- supplies for shipping and shipping products
- Walking – to various areas in building
- Able to lift 100 pounds using a hand truck
- Able to tolerate working from heights
- Operate a PC and other office equipment
- Travel between floors and office buildings may be required
- Environmental conditions: noise, vibration, oils, solvents, chemicals
